Antonia and Dimcho Dimchovsky live and work in the small mountain village called Gostilitsa. They have created their icons since 1984 by using old and forgotten iconographic techniques of the ancient masters. They work in the traditional Byzantine style, from miniatures to emperor’s icons, using gold, silver, repoussé, enamel, pearls and semi precious stones. The Dimchovskys bring new life to lost techniques like Sinai nimbi, Granare, Gratare, Probaster, caulking, etc.
